Who they are
The Mocho are a small Indigenous group of the Maya family living in the mountainous region of Chiapas in southern Mexico. With strong ties to the land and traditional farming, they face the challenge of the gradual loss of their mother tongue and ancestral traditions as they are increasingly assimilated into the surrounding Hispanic society.
