Who they are
The Murut Selungai are an indigenous people living in the forested and riverine regions of the interior of Borneo. Part of Kalimantan’s cultural mosaic, they maintain a strong connection to the forest and to the communal traditions inherited from their ancestors. They speak their own Murutic language and preserve farming practices and customs passed down from generation to generation.
