Who they are
The Muyang are a people who inhabit the rocky slopes and plains of Cameroon’s far north, in the Mandara Mountains region. With a strong attachment to their ancestral land and their own language of the Chadic branch, they maintain a rural way of life centered on subsistence farming and community relationships. Although influenced by neighboring traditions and the Islamic faith, they preserve distinctive cultural features of their rich historical heritage.
