Who they are
The Narisati, also known as Arandui, are a people who inhabit mountainous valleys between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Speakers of the Gawar-Bati language, they preserve ancient community traditions in villages isolated by steep slopes. Of Muslim faith and strong family ties, they sustain themselves through terrace farming and pastoralism, keeping their cultural identity alive in one of the most remote regions of South Asia.
