Who they are
The Naskapi are an Indigenous Algonquian people who inhabit the subarctic regions of eastern Canada, mainly in northern Quebec. Historically connected to caribou hunting and life in the boreal forests, they preserve their distinct language and culture. Today, the community seeks to balance its rich ancestral traditions with the contemporary challenges of community life and Christian discipleship.
