Who they are
The Nass-Gitksian are an Indigenous people living in the Nass and Skeena river valleys in British Columbia. Traditionally organized into matrilineal clans, they have a rich artistic heritage expressed in imposing totem poles and communal ceremonies. Most of the population professes the Christian faith, facing the challenge of integrating their ancestral cultural identity with a daily walk with God grounded in the Bible.
