Who they are

The Ndwewe are a Bantu people living in southeastern Tanzania, maintaining strong ties to the land and traditional community life. They preserve their mother tongue in everyday family life and support their households mainly through farming and raising livestock on a small scale.

Although some have come into contact with the Christian faith, ancestral traditions still strongly influence the way they live and what they believe.
