People
Who they are
The Neisu live in Honghe, in south-central Yunnan Province, China. They are officially classified as part of the Hani, but have their own customs and clothing. They have grown rice on steep mountain slopes for many centuries. Most follow polytheism, meaning they worship many gods, including Chinese Taoist gods. Christians are a small minority; there are also people with no religion.
