Who they are

The Nomatsiguenga are an Indigenous people living in the forests of the Amazon basin in Peru, especially in the valleys of Satipo province. With an oral tradition and roots in the Arawakan language family, they maintain a deep relationship with the forest and its rivers. Although many are familiar with Christian traditions, the growth of communities with a clear biblical understanding and faithful discipleship remains an ongoing challenge.
