Who they are
The North Slavey are an Indigenous Dene people who inhabit the forests and riverbanks of the subarctic regions of northern Canada. Their identity is deeply tied to the land, traditional hunting, and the preservation of their Athabaskan language.
Although they have long been in contact with historic Christian traditions, many maintain ancestral spiritual practices and long for a living, personal understanding of the gospel within their own cultural context.
