People
Who they are
The Nukuini are an indigenous people living in the forests of Acre, in the Juruá River Basin. Having survived the severe impacts of the rubber boom in the western Amazon, they maintain a deep connection to the land and a commitment to preserving their identity. Today, they value their traditional customs while navigating the ongoing social and territorial changes around them.
