Who they are
The Otoro Nuba live in the Nuba Mountains region of Sudan. Known for their rich communal traditions and farming on fertile slopes, they preserve their own language and ancestral customs through difficult periods of geographic isolation and local conflict. Although Islam is the most prominent faith, there is also a historic Christian presence in the community.
