The Oyda are an indigenous people inhabiting the mountains and fertile valleys of southwestern Ethiopia, belonging to the Omotic language family. Primarily engaged in family subsistence agriculture, they maintain strong community bonds and a rich cultural heritage. In recent decades, a significant portion of the community has embraced the Christian faith, living out the gospel in the context of their traditions and their own language.
