Who they are
The Northwest Pashayi inhabit remote valleys and mountain slopes in Afghanistan. With their own language and ancestral roots in the Hindu Kush range, they live by farming the land and herding in the mountains. Their collective identity is deeply tied to family honor and the Islamic faith, maintaining isolated communities that historically have had almost no contact with the gospel.
