Who they are
The Pashayi are a mountain community that preserves ancestral traditions in the remote valleys of eastern Afghanistan. With their own language and a lifestyle tied to the land, they maintain a tightly-knit community identity, sustained by pastoralism and farming on steep slopes.
Their daily life is governed by values of honor and family solidarity, amidst geographical isolation that has deeply shaped their history and faith.
