The Popoloca of Santa Inés Ahuatempan are an indigenous community from the state of Puebla, in south-central Mexico. Custodians of a language from the Oto-Manguean family, they maintain strong community ties linked to farming the land and traditional handicrafts made from palm fibers. Although most participate in formal religious celebrations, ancestral traditions remain present, and few have experienced the biblical message in their own language.
