Who they are
The Porohanon live mainly on the Camotes Islands in Cebu Province, in the Philippines. Known for their island identity and their own language belonging to the Bisayan family, they maintain a traditional way of life closely tied to the sea and farming. Although the Christian faith is part of their cultural history, there is a great need for spiritual renewal and deep discipleship within the community.
