Who they are
The Razihi inhabit the steep mountains of the Razih region in northwestern Yemen. They preserve a unique Semitic language of their own, distinct from Standard Arabic and transmitted orally. Strongly structured around tribal ties and a Muslim identity present for centuries, they live in isolated, hard to reach communities, with no known Christian witness among their villages.
