Os rudbari são um pequeno grupo étnico que habita vales e encostas montanhosas no norte do Irã. Ligados ao conjunto linguístico tati, preservam seu próprio dialeto iraniano e mantêm fortes laços familiares e comunitários. Vivendo em relativo isolamento geográfico e cultural, quase a totalidade professa o islã tradicional e não possui contato conhecido com as boas-novas de Jesus.
