Who they are
The Kildin Sami are an indigenous people inhabiting the Kola Peninsula in the far northwest of Russia. Keepers of ancestral traditions tied to reindeer herding, fishing, and survival in the Arctic environment, they face major challenges in preserving their language and identity. Although they have historical ties to Orthodox Christianity, a personal experience of the gospel and biblical discipleship are still rare within the community.
