Who they are

The Sahu are an Indigenous people who inhabit the western part of Halmahera Island, in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Speakers of a distinctive language in the North Halmahera family, they preserve a strong communal identity rooted in traditional farming and rich harvest celebrations. Although most identify with the Christian faith, many still lack in-depth discipleship grounded in Scripture.
