Who they are
The Sáliba are an Indigenous people originally from the savannas and woodlands of the Orinoco and Meta river basins, between Colombia and Venezuela. Traditionally engaged in subsistence farming and fishing, they maintain a strong attachment to their language and communal life while seeking to protect their territories and preserve their rich cultural heritage amid the transformations of the modern world.
