Os sanglechi são um pequeno povo montanhês que habita vales remotos da região de Badakhshan, nas cordilheiras do Pamir, principalmente no Afeganistão e áreas fronteiriças do Tajiquistão. Guardiões de uma língua própria do ramo iraniano oriental, preservam uma cultura comunitária muito unida, moldada pelo isolamento geográfico e pelas tradições do islã ismaelita.
