The Semai are one of the largest Indigenous Orang Asli peoples in Peninsular Malaysia, inhabiting valleys and forested slopes in the country’s interior. Known for a deeply peaceful culture that rejects violence, they preserve their own language from the Austroasiatic family and maintain a vital connection to their ancestral land and the rhythms of the tropical rainforest.
