Who they are
The Shal live in the Dass area of Bauchi State in northeastern Nigeria. Their language, Shall-Zwall, includes the Shall and Zwall varieties and belongs to the group of languages known as Plateau. Most follow traditional religion. There are also Muslim and Christian minorities among the Shal, including evangelical Christians.
