Who they are

The Southern Itneg, also known as the Tingguian, are an Indigenous people who inhabit the mountain slopes of Abra province in northern Luzon in the Philippines. Custodians of rich traditions of weaving, music, and terrace farming, they carefully preserve their Maeng language and the ancestral identity inherited from the forests of the Cordillera.
