Who they are

Swiss Jews make up a historic community established mainly in the urban centers of Switzerland, with a strong presence in cities such as Zurich, Geneva, and Basel. Integrated into local society and speaking Swiss German dialects as well as other national languages, they keep their cultural and religious traditions alive. Their communal identity is preserved through active synagogues, charitable institutions, and a strong commitment to the heritage of their ancestors.
