Who they are
The Tabajara are an indigenous people historically connected to the coast and interior of northeastern Brazil, with a significant presence in Ceará and Paraíba. Today they speak Portuguese and preserve the memory of their ancestry through handicrafts, traditional dances such as toré, and their ongoing efforts to secure the demarcation and protection of their ancestral lands.
