Who they are

The Taurepang are an Indigenous people of the Cariban language family who live in the border region between northern Roraima and Venezuela. Closely connected to the Pemon, they preserve strong community ties and a deep relationship with the savannas and forests around Mount Roraima, keeping their mother tongue and traditions alive amid pressures from the surrounding society.
