Who they are
The Teribe, also known as the Naso people, live along riverbanks and in the dense tropical forests of northwestern Panama and neighboring areas of Costa Rica. Known for maintaining a traditional leadership system that is highly distinctive in Central America, they carefully safeguard their cultural identity, mother tongue, and deep connection to the ecosystem of their ancestral forests.
