Who they are

The Thae, also called The, are an indigenous people of mainland Southeast Asia, speaking the Oy language, which belongs to the Mon-Khmer language family. They live in a remote, sparsely populated area where various ethnic groups coexist so intermixed that many families can no longer say with certainty which group they belong to. For this reason, the Thae remain virtually unknown outside their own homeland.
