Who they are
The Tonkawa are an Indigenous people originally from the plains of what is now the state of Texas in the United States, now settled mainly in northern Oklahoma. Historically known for their skill as hunters and trackers, they are determined to preserve their tribal identity and collective memory while seeking to strengthen community bonds and honor their cultural heritage among younger generations.
