The Totomachapan Zapotec are an Indigenous community living in the mountain ranges of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. Heirs to one of Mesoamerica’s oldest civilizations, they keep their mother tongue alive and maintain a strong connection to the land, organizing community life through traditional farming practices and deep family ties.
