Who they are
The Tukam are an indigenous people who inhabit the slopes and valleys of the Nuba Mountains in Sudan. Integrated into the Tagoi linguistic group, they preserve a rich community heritage tied to farming the land and living in the hills. Their identity combines ancestral Nuba traditions with the Islamic faith, in a region historically marked by geographical isolation and strong political tensions.
