Who they are
The Tungara are an Indigenous people of inland Borneo, closely connected to the Murut peoples. Living in riverside and forest communities, they uphold values of community cooperation and strong family ties. Although much of the community identifies with the Christian faith established in earlier generations, geographic isolation and a shortage of biblical resources in their mother tongue pose challenges to continued spiritual growth.
