Who they are
Tunisian Jews form a Sephardic and Mizrahi community with roots dating back centuries in North Africa, especially on the island of Djerba. Following waves of emigration in the twentieth century, most now live in Israel and France, yet they keep alive the memory of their synagogues, feasts, and family traditions.
