Who they are
The Tutung are an Indigenous people native to the island of Borneo, historically concentrated in the Tutong River basin. As part of the Malay cultural context, they preserve ancestral customs and a language of their own passed down orally. Traditionally engaged in farming along the riverbanks and fishing, they maintain a strong sense of belonging and a communal life connected to the land of their ancestors.
