Who they are
The Wichita are an indigenous people originally from the Great Plains of North America, now concentrated mainly in the state of Oklahoma. Historically known for their villages of thatched huts and their farming and hunting traditions, they proudly preserve their cultural identity. Although most use English in daily life, they seek to keep their community ties and historical heritage alive.
