Who they are
The Wiradhuri live in New South Wales, Australia, in an area between the Macquarie, Lachlan and Murrumbidgee rivers. This land became known as the land of the three rivers. Their traditional language, Wiradjuri, is taught in schools and community groups in an effort to bring it back into use. Among the Wiradhuri there are Christians as well as people who follow traditional beliefs.
