Who they are

The Womo are connected to the coastal village of Onei in Sandaun Province, Papua New Guinea. Their language, Pin, is severely endangered. Marriages to speakers of other languages have led to Sera and Puare replacing Pin, and in 2006 a researcher found only five speakers in Onei. There are Christians among the Womo.
