Who they are
The Xicotepec de Juárez Totonac are an indigenous people native to the mountain ranges of eastern Mexico, particularly in the state of Puebla. Guardians of a heritage stretching back millennia, they preserve their own variety of the Totonac language and deep communal ties to farming. Although most follow longstanding religious traditions blended with ancestral customs, few have had the opportunity to hear the gospel clearly in their mother tongue.
