Who they are
The Xo Dang live in Vietnam, mainly in the mountains of Kon Tum Province in the Central Highlands. The Vietnamese government classifies them as part of the Sedang people. They speak Kayong, a language of the Austroasiatic family used in the districts of Sa Thầy and Kon Plông. Most follow the traditional religions of their people. Some have become Christians, mainly through Catholic missionary work, which has been active in the Kon Tum highlands for more than a century.
