Who they are
The Xukuru are an Indigenous people who live in the Serra do Ororubá mountains, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco. Known for their steadfast history of defending their territory and affirming their culture, they keep their communal traditions and rituals such as Toré alive. Although they speak Portuguese in daily life and have historically professed the Christian faith, the vast majority still lack access to transformative biblical discipleship.
