Who they are
The Yanomamo inhabit the tropical forests and mountainous regions along the border between Brazil and Venezuela. They live in large communal villages and preserve a deep relationship with the Amazon rainforest, which sustains their families through hunting, gathering, and traditional agriculture. Their rich oral tradition and spiritual worldview guide every aspect of community life.
