Who they are
The Yatee Zapotec are an Indigenous community who live in the mountains of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. Heirs to a rich ancestral tradition, they preserve the Zapotec language and maintain strong community ties rooted in traditional agriculture. Although most profess a faith tied to the region’s historical traditions, few have had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the life-changing message of the Gospel.
