Who they are

The Yora are an Indigenous people of the Panoan language family living in the tropical forests of the Amazon basin in southeastern Peru. Also known as Nawa in some regions, they maintain a deep connection to the forest, preserving ancestral practices of hunting, gathering, and land management in territory that is difficult to access.
