People
Who they are
The Yotowawa are an Indigenous people of Kisar Island in Indonesia’s Southwest Moluccas archipelago. Also known for their Kisar language, they have a strong communal identity tied to the land and sea. Although the Christian faith has been part of their history for generations, many families still lack in-depth biblical discipleship to renew their daily walk with God and inspire service to neighboring peoples.
