The Central Miahuatlán Zapotec are an indigenous people living in the mountainous regions of southern Mexico, in the state of Oaxaca. Heirs to a rich ancestral tradition, they preserve their native language and a very solid community organization. Although traditional religious practices permeate daily life in the community, access to living biblical discipleship is still rare among most families.
