Who they are
The Zoró are an indigenous people living in the forests of Brazil’s Amazon Basin, particularly on traditional lands between Rondônia and Mato Grosso. Also known as Pangyjej, they maintain a strong connection to the forest, making their living through hunting, fishing, and family farming. Their rich oral tradition and community organization preserve their cultural identity and the memory of their ancestors.
