Who they are
The Ajië are an Indigenous Kanak community native to central New Caledonia, concentrated mainly around Houaïlou. Known for their rich oral tradition and strong community ties rooted in the land, they have a long history with the Christian faith. Preserving their language and passing on biblical values to younger generations remain vital to their identity.
